Woolsgrove Cookery School lies in glorious Devon countryside less than ten miles from Exeter. Gretchen Oldland realised the school having passed professional diplomas in Cookery and Wine Appreciation, taught in the area and cooked for private clients. Woolsgrove is a 17th Century listed farmhouse and classes are taught in the traditional kitchen, with meals and tastings held in the dining room. Demonstration classes do not exceed six students so that everyone has the individual attention they deserve. The programme of classes reflects a wide range of tastes and skills, but classes can also be tailor-made (Bespoke Workshops) to answer any specific needs or interests of those attending. Produce is sourced locally as much as possible, with an emphasis on quality and seasonality.
